An attorney who recently took the IAMT- Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique® for Organizations had been practicing the technique fairly regularly before going to the office. However, he wasn't noticing any difference in himself when he meditated. This lead to him skipping meditation practice as much as 2 or 3 days per week. When he mentioned to his wife that he was not doing the IAMT Technique every day, she responded, with "I know". He responded with, "You know, how do you know?" She replied, "Because I notice a difference in you when you don't do your meditation." She then proceeded to tell him the days that he had not meditated in the last week and got all of them right!

[We] had a wonderful experience doing the IAM weekend... We felt supported by Amma's energy the whole time, and for us the keynote was "relaxation". Sometimes our nervous systems are so hyped up that we don't get fully calm, there always seems to be another fire to put out. To take that time out and forget about worries and to focus on Amma was wonderful.

The slow, methodical and easy pace of the IAM teaching was also a lesson for us to slow down in life and to do things at their proper pace instead of rushing. [The instructor] provided a beautiful container for the IAM. [His] own practice shined through the presentation and helped us to "get it".

Whenever we walked into the IAM room Amma's presence was there as a nourishing, calming glow. It is amazing how that happens!

At the end of the program when we did the final meditation, I felt immersed in a sense of inner well being. I had the vision of Amma methodically walking behind each of us and lighting us like a lamp at the base of our spine. I could see the initiating light as a bright flame. Then she walked to the front of the room and stared adoringly at all of us with her hands clasped to her cheek, swaying from side to side, she was ecstatic! It seemed as if Amma was much more pleased about and attentive to my inner growth then "I" was.

The end of the meditation while bathed in that inner mood was self sustaining and without effort.[My wife] and I were reluctant to have to leave the retreat and get back home!

I have experienced benefits from this practice already (less than three months). I feel calm, centered, open, and balanced. I have learned to adapt no matter how I am feeling mentally, physically, or emotionally. I do the practice when I am tight physically, having trouble stretching or moving.

This meditation has become a permanent part of my life, like brushing my teeth, eating or sleeping. The few days I have missed doing the meditation, I have been left with an empty feeling.

So, I continue!
